May and June 2008

Oh how I wish I was going to be in St. Maarten again this year. We left bright and early the day after our wedding and stayed for the next 7 days. So this counts for my May picture! Mike was sick during our wedding and the first part of the honeymoon. Everything still fell into place and we enjoyed every minute of it. This picture is of us when we took a pirate ship dinner cruise. If you know Mike and his friends they think they are pirates (ha!ha!) It was very romantic. Funny story about the pirate theme. When I started planning the wedding I asked Mike if he wanted berries or a flower on his tux and he of course said neither I want a pirate flag. If you have been a bride you know you have sooo many decisions to make. At first I was like "MIKE, make a decision!" Then as time passes it's not really that big of a deal in the grand scheme of things with a wedding. All that being said the day of the wedding I had his sister Sheri find me some pirate flag stickers to surprise him. On our wedding day the guys wore stephanotis (my favorite flower) on one side and a pirate sticker on the other. Just another nontraditional item at our wedding. This other picture is when we went to see Mike's dad last year on Father's day. We love seeing the family and all the good food in the Washington D.C. area. That weekend we ate at Mie N yu and drove the Harley's to Annapolis, MD and ate crabs. If you have never eaten Maryland blue crabs you are seriously missing out on a good and fun experience.

The countdown of the Rigby's first year together!

My best friend Miss Amy Love gave me a great posting idea. A month from today Mike and I will be celebrating our first year together. She suggested that I post pictures from every month of our first year as the Rigby's up until the big day! So that is what to expect for the next couple of postings. My first picture is of course from the most wonderful day of my life last year April 26, 2008!!!

So if you know me you know I LOVE SHOES!! Hopefully I will have a daughter one day who will have an awesome vintage shoe collection and if not I already have a neice. I am very upset this morning because last night my Jimmy Choo strap BROKE!!! It pretty much ruined my night. I called them this morning and they said they would fix it, but it would cost me. I love these shoes and have worn them every week since I have had them. I want to boycott them, but there shoes are very comfortable and so beautiful. Just take a look and see!

One of my two cousins is getting married today! Gina and I have been best friends since we could talk. Monica and Gina were like the sisters I never had. We grew up right next door to each other and played almost everyday of our lives until I fled the coop to go to college. Barbie's were definitely our thing to play with and believe me we played them every chance we got. Looking back I have realized how lucky we were to have grown up together. It sometimes gets me emotinal to think how fast time has flown. I am very happy for Gina and Adam! I think you compliment each other so well. I would like to think our days upon hours of picking out our Ken doll gave us good practice when it came to the real deal. Congrats to you both!!!

Anniversary Ideas???

Our first anniversary in a little over a month away. ;o) Does anybody have any good ideas? We wanted to go to Savannah, GA, but our weekend is booked everywhere. Mike found a limosine deal that for the day will take us all around Tennessee's best wineries. It's a great idea, but I wanted to see if you guys had any other suggestions. It's hard to believe our first anniversary is just around the corner.

February 28, 2009 some of our very best friends had a BEAUTIFUL wedding in Nashville. It was basically a reunion of our old crew and the wives all weekend. The rehearsal dinner was at Opryland hotel and the wedding was at Riverwood Mansion. It was very well organized and such a blast for all of us. Mike has the closest group of guy friends and we all get along so well. Whenever they all get together you never know what they might do. The craziest thing done this weekend was that Mike and Connor went swimming in the Delta of Opryland hotel. :o) No, they didn't get caught and it probably was one of the funniest things I have ever witnessed. Congrats Scott and Katherine!! We love and miss you so hurry up and move to Tennessee!!!
