Erin and I have been best friends for over 20 years now. That is so crazy when I think about it. She is my only best friend from Bolivar that lives in Nashville area with me. I wish others would move soon :o) Anyway Erin has always and will continue to be there for me. Alot of people espescially here lately have told us over and over that we must be sisters. I think it must be our smiles. What do you think? The funny thing is we are not even related. We celebrated her birthday Friday night at Urban Flats. Thanks Erin for always telling it like it is!! I love you girl!

Today is all about the LOVE right??? I thought it would be fitting to dedicate this post to my man MIKE!!! I have found some of my favorite pictures of us through the years. It is crazy that we have almost been married a year. I guess time flies when you are having fun. Mike and I met in the spring of 2004 and several months later I knew I was falling for a guy who was much different than the others.

This isn't the best picture of us, but I wanted you to see how he usually poses for our pictures. You have no idea how hard it can be for him to be serious.

2009 Flu Bug
So I am off of work another day and at this point I am getting stir crazy. Good news my fever and aches are gone and the laundry is almost finished. YAY! I really wanted to go to work, but I am still contagious until tomorrow and my throat and cough are killer. The flu honestly hasn't been as bad as I remembered it was 9 years ago. The doctor said this year's strand is a light one. My entire life I have been very afraid of needles. The last time I had the flu was in 2000 and that is a day my father will NEVER forget. It is a funny story now, but at the time he was not happy with me. I was very sick and they thought it could be mono so they wanted to take my blood. BIG MISTAKE: it only took like 4 nurses, 1 doctor, and my dad to hold me down. ;o) haha! I remember seeing this little girl sitting there calmly as I was totally freaking out. This phobia all started when I had to get my 5 year old booster shots. It was a traumatic experience. My mom and dad tell me every year to go get the flu shot, but I rarely listen. One year my mom tricked me and when I went to see her at work there was a nurse waiting with the shot. I do get shots now without freaking out, but drawing my blood scares me to death. I have avoided it since that terrible day in 2000. Let me know your opinions of the flu shot! Sometimes they work and sometimes they don't. I feel that older adults should for sure because it can be much more life threatening for them. Have a great weekend!! It is going to beautiful here in the great state of TN!

Happy 4th Birthday Sydney!
So found out today that I did get the flu from my husband booo ;o(. Once I got to the house the last thing I wanted to do was pick up the mess my child/dog had made in garage. Everyone who knows Sydney knows what a typically amazing and smart dog she is. NOT TODAY!!!! She opened the trash can (who knows how) and pulled all the trash all over the garage, urinated in the garage, and clawed our door frame. I believe she lost her mind today. She was in timeout for a while. Despite her slight imperfections at times, she is one of the best things that Mike has ever given me. He gave me Sydney before we were together. I was shopping for a Westie at the time he had gotten Sydney for himself. His adult cattle dog wanted to kill her literally and that is when Mike offered her to me. She has not lived the typical Australian Cattle Dog life. She has been everywhere with me except Texas in my little red Tib (RIP). She has been my best friend and guardian her entire life. It is instinct for this breed to protect and she does a great job at it. She is the smartest dog that I have ever met. Just ask my friends... Sydney pup I love you girl and Happy Birthday!!! Here are some of my favorite pictures of her through the years.
