What is your favorite memory of 2009???

Okay peeps I would love to know something great from each of you from this fabulous year of 2009!!!

I will start:

Mike and I celebrated our first anniversary at Arrington Vineyard which just happens to be down the road from our home. We took a picnic and reminisced about our first year together. Halloween was also lots of fun dressed as vintage Bonnie and Cylde. Mike's favorite words to me,"Let's ride Bonnie!"

I spy the magical Blue box!!!!

I must give my MAN major props today. I never thought I would see a day that I would have a Tiffany & Co. box in my hands and today I had TWO. Well, apparently Mike had planned on giving me the boxes for Christmas, but the 18 inches of snow in VA delayed their arrival. So when I got home from work today he asked me to come talk to him in our bedroom and there they were. I LOVE YOU SOO MUCH MIKE!

The White House, Smithsonians, and politicians "Oh mY"

For those of you who have never been to the area it is all really REALLY close together. I didn't realize it until Mike and I started dating long distance in 2005. You can be in 4 states in about 30 minutes. For my job I went ahead and got a VA and DC license and have considered Maryland. "crazyness" I know! The place I am most excited about being closer to is NYC!!!!!! If you know me you know I LOVE LOVE that place. I will soon be a 4.5 hour car ride or 4 hour train ride or 1 hour flight away. I will decide on a job officially tommorrow. I had 3 offers and have narrowed it down to two. Once that is squared away we will begin the hunt for a home. I will definitely miss our TN home soon to be known as our country get away. There is TONS to do in the area. Once established I am going to work on getting to tour the White House. Since I was a little girl I have been fascinated by old homes. I believe the WH would be the "crem dela crem" of them all. DC has 16 Smithsonians, Ford's theater, Nationals MLB team, Washington Redskins football team (I will always be a Titan though ;o)), Arlington Cemetary, National zoo, Nation's capital, Mount Vernon, and I could go on for days. There are also lots of cool things to see in the surrounding cities. One of my favorite places is Annapolis, MD. It is one of the oldest cities in MD and it sits on the western shore of the Chesapeake Bay "yummy Maryland Blue Crab". There are so many more things than I have mentioned above. So even though I have seen alot over the last couple of years I do not believe I will ever run out of new things to do.

Happy Birthday Jesus!

White House Cemetery War Cross

Isaiah 9:6-7
(6) For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. (7) Of the increase of his government and of peace there will be no end, on the throne of David and over his kingdom, to establish it and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness from this time forth and forevermore. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will do this.

Thank you God for blessing our lives with Jesus! I am given more than I deserve, but I try to not take a moment for granted. This year we are spending Christmas with the Cherry's because I will soon no longer be a Tennessee resident. I have accepted a job in Washington DC to be closer to my hubby. For those of you who do not know Mike has been working the northern VA area since September. We will be moving January 23rd!! It is definitely mixed emotions, but mostly excitement. More to come about the move soon! As for now I am going to savor every second I have with my family and friends. Merry Christmas Everyone!! I am so blessed to have you apart of my life. XOXO
